The third floor took the most
time/effort to add to the existing structure. Two 10' diameter turrets flank the 30' diameter suite--one
turret for
the spiral stairs and the other for a private dining/work area--both with
multi-windowed views of the reef. A king-sized, four-post Barbados-style bed
with a plantation sofa at the footboard look through double french-doors to the
ocean deck. We used more of an "Island Style" for this room, including a bamboo plank floor. A large tiled
master bath faces inland . Solid wood doors, dual mahogany
armoires, phone, bedside tables with lamps, LCD TV for DVD movies (only) and ceiling
fans. A private balcony outside with the same balustered
railing below (safety) and Adirondack chairs/table. The height of this
suite above the sea is the highest on the shoreline of the entire East End...which makes for
unbelievable vistas of the multi-colored water inside the reef. You can watch the cruise ships
sail around the southern tip of the island at dusk or arrive at dawn. |
